Axidentals' Play
Fine Jazz Album
Girl Singer Anne Provides
Essential 'Different Touch'
By RED ROBINSON
(Vancouver Sun Sept. 5, 1958)A singing group called "The Axidentals" puts the accent on good music, and in this day and age it's a hard stand to take.
The group shines through with one of the top albums on the market today. "The Axidentals With Kai Winding's Trombones."
The group belongs in the jazz harmony category in the same way that the Four Freshmen and the Hi-Lo's do. The only difference is the girl singer Anne, who supplies a different touch.
The Axidentals were featured in Vancouver at one of the local supper clubs long before they made it to the top. They got their start in San Francisco while attending college.
Since their visit to Vancouver they have toured North America in the top night spots from Florida to Las Vegas and from Los Angeles to New York.
Their new album should appeal to modern music lovers everywhere.

ROBIN LUKE
Young Robin Luke's "Susie Darling" is still on top of the ladder of success this week after three weeks in top position. Robin visits the northwest tonight and tomorrow night for two shows.
The young lad should serve as an inspiration to all young entertainers to show that you can make it to the top with the right song, the right manager and luck.
BACK TO SCHOOL
Back-to-school discs are here for the school season. Joe Fuller of Hi Records has recorded "Back to School" which should be one of the most sensational seasonal hits of the lot.
Fats Domino is a strong bidder with his recording of "Young School Girl" and Sal Mineo, screen star, has recorded a strong hit called "Souvenirs of Summertime."
